Lianne Aquilina Practitioner Profile BSc Hons MBAcC
Lianne Aquilina studied traditional acupuncture for three years at the University of Lincoln where she was awarded a first class honours degree in complementary medicine with the specialisation of acupuncture in 2005. Lianne holds a postgraduate certificate in Chinese medicine after further training in China.
Lianne is a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council and a registered member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) which stands in a unique position in the United Kingdom’s healthcare system, the ATCM is actively engaged in academics, research, and the practical application of acupuncture. Lianne is a registered member of the National Health Service alternative health care practitioners.
Lianne obtained an award for studies in health by the faculty of Health, Life and Social Sciences in Lincoln. Her first research project was published in a book called ‘Professional Perspectives in Health Care’ for all health professionals, academics and students. Lianne was invited to teach at the University of Lincoln and enjoys her day post as a clinical supervisor. Lianne continues professional development and has a wide range of postgraduate training.
