Lianne Aquilina Practitioner Profile BSc Hons MBAcC

Lianne Aquilina studied traditional acupuncture for three years at the University of Lincoln where she was awarded a first class honours degree in complementary medicine with the specialisation of acupuncture. 

Lianne is a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council. The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) was formed in 1995. It is the largest body of professional acupuncturists in the UK and currently guarantees excellence in the following areas: Training Standards - entry to the profession is at three year undergraduate degree level training in traditional acupuncture and western sciences appropriate to practice. Lianne is also a registered member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) which stands in a unique position in the United Kingdom’s healthcare system, the ATCM is actively engaged in academics, research, and the practical application of traditional Chinese medicine including acupuncture. Lianne is a registered member of the NHS alternative health care practitioners.  

Lianne obtained an award for studies in health by the faculty of Health, Life and Social Sciences in Lincoln in 2005. Her first research project was published in a book called ‘Professional Perspectives in Health Care’ for all health professionals, academics and students.  Lianne enjoys her post as a clinical supervisor at the University of Lincolns acupuncture clinic.
